lumber mill in Talladega, Alabama, with an anticipated start
date of late 2018. Once in operation, this location will receive about
150 log trucks a day and produce approximately 230 million board-feet
of lumber a year, with plans to expand beyond that in the future! This
is an exciting opportunity to work in a technologically-advanced
plant. Georgia-Pacific is seeking experienced manufacturing
employees for our Electrical Technician roles.
WAGE: $21.00+PER HOUR (DEPENDENT ON SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS)
As an Electrical Technician, you
will operate lumber production equipment on one or more machine centers
and frequently cross-train in other roles. The equipment may include
automated saws, scanners, and forklifts.
Installs, troubleshoots, and
repairs electrical equipment and circuits.
Maintains, troubleshoots, and
programs PLC terminals.
Maintains and troubleshoots
pneumatic systems, control devices, hydraulic equipment, circuits and
Reads and interprets electrical
Performs daily preventative
Adheres to all plant safety and
environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively
participate in safety program.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of three (3) years of
electrical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military
Experience reading and interpreting
Experience with single and 3-phase
electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 Volts.
Must be willing and able to perform
tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing
and/or pulling for at least ten (10) hours a day.
Must be willing and able to work all
shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Minimum of one (1) year experience
