Bolta is currently looking for Wastewater Managers to join the team at its new facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

WASTEWATER MANAGER

STARTING RANGE: $50K

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the operations of wastewater treatment plant to ensure that all aspects of the process are in compliance.
  • Monitor stormwater compliance and update SPCC as needed/Perform routine inspection of hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage locations within the facility.
  • Partner with external waste management vendors to properly recycle/dispose of utilized production materials
  • Assist with waste profiling, arranging regular external lab testing, and creating new waste profiles when warranted.
  • Perform site audits of facility areas to ensure proper procedures are followed according to waste management disposal guidelines.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or closely related field or equivalent combination of experience/training.
  • Wastewater license/certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the management of a wastewater treatment facility.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of wastewater treatment facility operation (heavy metal precipitation is required)
  • Experience with compliance audits and understanding of EPA, OSHA, DOT, RCRA and ADEM regulations are required.
  • Ability to understand chemical databases; extensive knowledge of SID, NPDES, and SPCC.  Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position and work a flexible schedule.
  • Excellent attendance record and ability to work a flexible schedule are essential for this position.
