AIDT is seeking applicants for a pre-employment training program for Press Operators at Valley Rubber LLC. Successful completion of the program may result in employment with Valley Rubber in Falkville, Alabama. Valley Rubber is a manufacturer of custom rubber solutions for tough mining and industrial applications that require an innovative approach. Valley Rubber is currently looking for 2nd and 3rd shift Press Operators to join the team.  


PRESS OPERATOR

WAGE: $12.00 PER HOUR

DEPENDS UPON EXPERIENCE

JOB DUTIES:

  • Runs the press, does setups and breakdowns with little to no supervision
  • Trims parts in accordance with blueprints
  • Reads job travelers and interpret blueprints to determine press setup
  • Completes production records using a computer format to maintain costs, efficiencies, inventory and integrity
  • Ensures proper cleanliness of press, workstation, and immediate press area by following good housekeeping practices¬†

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing or other related experience preferred
  • Ability to follow directions and work well with others
  • Great punctuality and attendance required
  • Press operators are required to stand on their feet for long periods of time often doing repetitious motions
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work with computers, machines and assembly robots to do their job
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Ability to read and understand a tape measurer¬†
