AIDT is seeking applicants for a pre-employment training program for Assemblers & Finishing Technicians. Successful completion of the program may result in employment with Kimber Mfg., Inc. Kimber a rapidly growing and leading manufacturer of fine sporting firearms with locations in AL, NY, NJ, and MT has multiple openings for assemblers and finishing technicians, located in our new site in Troy, Alabama.


PAY RATE: $11.50 PER HOUR

12.00 PER HOUR AFTER 90 DAYS


ASSEMBLERS

REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses hand tools or hand-held power tools to work on the building of various assemblies in the production of handguns and rifles.
  • Performs quality checks on products including blueprint tolerances and visual criteria before and after work is done on the part.
  • Maintains strict production requirements and quality standards.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs.
  • Knowledge of small hand tools and measurement gauges a plus.
  • Required to wear PPE such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, and Hearing Protection
  • Required to work day shift and overtime as production needs dictates.
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.



FINISHING TECHNICIANS

REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grinds, sands, cleans or polishes parts to correct defects, or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Marks defects that require rework from the previous process.
  • Records product and processing data on specified forms or database.
  • Maintains strict production requirements and quality standards.
  • Required to wear PPE such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, and Hearing Protection.
  • Required to work day shift and overtime as production needs dictates.
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
