Bocar US
is currently seeking a Die Casting Process Engineer / Technician to join its Die Casting Engineering Department. Bocar US will manufacture high-end body structural aluminum parts for automakers operating in the United States. Various positions are available at the company’s new facility in Huntsville, Alabama.


DIE CASTING PROCESS ENGINEER / TECHNICIAN

SALARY DEPENDS UPON EXPERIENCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, configure and optimize the die casting processes from inception, through to start up, and mass production
  • Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Perform process simulations
  • Manage cost and time constraints
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Educate, instruct and support the Production Operators

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline required, or 5+ years experience of High-Pressure Aluminum Die Casting
  • High level of math and statistical analysis skills
  • Must be comfortable with integrating new technology
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Knowledge of process related standards
  • Experience in process simulations
  • Working knowledge of Die Casting Process Engineering software packages
  • CAD or AutoCAD skills beneficial
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
