Metal Shark is a leading shipbuilder specializing in the design and production of boats and ships for military, law enforcement, fire rescue, and a wide spectrum of commercial applications. Metal Shark is seeking qualified candidates within its shipbuilding facility located in Bayou La Batre, Alabama.



  • Aid in creating project schedules for new builds, providing input to a Master Scheduler, for the overall schedule for the entire operation.
  • Provide schedule updates and attainment, assist in resources loading, materials and subcontract work for individual projects as part of the Master Production schedule.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of Production work packages and resources loading based on schedule requirements.
  • Manage ERP system, timekeeping processes, assist in the training of Superintendents and Foreman in the process; Ensure accurate time allocation and job costing efforts.
  • Update project and program performance metrics; Provide input to work station flow projections based on team performance and achievements.
  • Identify risks and manage issues; create mitigation plans with project team and status reports utilizing scheduling and cost performance and resource leveling.


  • Two years of professional shipyard scheduling/planning experience OR Industrial Technology/Engineering Degree
  • Advanced level in MS Project and/or Primavera.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, multitasking skills.
  • Proven team leadership and influencing skills. Must be a clear and direct communicator.
