YKTA is seeking applicants for an EHS Specialist at
their facility in Huntsville, Alabama. YKTA is a joint venture
of three automotive supplier companies. YKTA products provide structural
safety for the vehicle and important functional parts that must operate
as designed. YKTA is an on-site partner and tier one supplier for
Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, USA.

Assist EHS Management with daily plant
operations in the areas of Health, Safety, Environmental and Security.
Responsible for the
administration, maintenance, and operation of safety programs in a
Conduct hazard prevention analysis
and implement risk control countermeasures.
Reinforce safe work practices with
Develop communication systems with
department managers for day-to-day EHS activities.
Work with manufacturing leaders and
Process Engineering to resolve safety issues in all areas.
Participate in safety incident
investigations and root cause analysis; facilitate the completion of
reports; analyze incident trends; implement corrective actions; assure
lessons learned are shared and preventive actions are closed and
Lead workplace EHS, security and
culture strategies and actions.
Develop and drive activities with
focus on key business metrics such as injury avoidance, regulatory
compliance and countermeasures.
Establish and support team member
involvement activities in EHS.
Develop EHS related policy and lead
consistent administration of company policy and procedures.
Identifies company safety training
needs and develops and coordinates safety training programs.
MBS degree in Industrial Safety or
related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years industrial or manufacturing
Requires independent judgment on
problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of
proposed actions, and implement recommendation in support of goals.
Knowledge of US environmental,
health and safety regulations.
Demonstrated experience with machine
and process assessment, risk analysis, and solutions.
Utilize leadership styles to
maximize section resources.
Strong interpersonal and
communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide
range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Organizational and project
management practices as applied to the analysis, implementation and
evaluation of programs, policies, and operational needs.
Construction, Environmental, Fire
Science, Industrial Hygiene experience
Ecoat, Metal Stamping or Welding
