Kappler is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join the team at its facility in Guntersville, AL.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

SALARY: $70K+
BASED ON EXPERIENCE


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions as well as preparing all job offers.
  • Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection, conducting and analyzing exit
  • interviews, and recommending changes.
  • Conducts employee on-boarding and prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting new hire orientation program.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues, and maintains records.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
  • Manages a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys: scheduling job evaluations, monitoring pay actions to ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
  • Administer programs and keep record of benefits plan participation: life, health dental, disability, 401k, ESOP, PTO, leave of absence, FMLA,
  • Manages workers compensation program.
  • Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field
  • 5+ years HR progressive human resource experience desired
  • Strong leadership, organization and multitasking skills
  • Self motivated and work independently, while also having strong collaboration skills to interface with many types of groups, people and situations.
  • Communication Skills (written & verbal) and Good Interpersonal Skills.
  • Experience with HRMS and Insperity desired
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Bilingual a plus
