SEGERS AERO CORP is proud to have served the aviation industry since the 70s. The company is located on the Gulf Coast of the United States in the town of Fairhope, Alabama. SEGERS AERO CORP is seeking resourceful individuals to work as a MECHANIC. This position is for SEGERS AERO CORP located in FAIRHOPE, AL.


PAY: $15 - $27 PER HOUR



  • Perform maintenance on aircraft engines, accessories, and components
  • Performs maintenance duties in accordance with SAC Repair Station Manual, SAC Quality Manual, Customer SOP’s, and applicable technical data 
  • Using AeroTrac ERP system and company internal paperwork, accurately document the completion of maintenance performed 
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment   
  • Safe operation of the overhead crane 
  • Complete and maintain Forklift Certification in accordance with company standards 
  • Correct and safe use of specialty tools, torches, and chemicals as directed 
  • Perform FOD (Foreign Object Debris) inspections, and tool box inspections daily 
  • Works to production schedule as directed by manager/lead 
  • Communicates with manager/lead to recommend changes, such as equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of department and promote improvement
  • Confers with manager/lead to recommend changes such as: equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of department and promote improvement 
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • (Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Noise is generally loud.)


  • High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience performing maintenance on gas turbine engines preferred.
  • A/P license preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and DOT drug screen and comply with all FAA regulations
  • Must provide and maintain personal tool box in accordance with Segers’ Tool Control Plan
  • Must be able to use large specialty tools such as torque wrenches, impact wrenches, hydraulic press and bearing pullers.
  • Must be able to obtain needed information and data from FAR’s, bulletins, and maintenance manuals to perform assigned maintenance functions.
  • Must be proficient in using a variety of hand tools, special tools, and GSE required to perform assigned maintenance tasks
  • Must be proficient in company specific software and Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, rates and interpret graphs 
  • Must have knowledge of precision measuring tools/equipment.
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • May be required to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively.
  • May be required to reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stand, and walk around using steps occasionally
  • Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions
