Schnellecke Packing Logistics AL is seeking applicants for a Group Leader at their facility in Woodstock, Alabama. The Schnellecke Group is an internationally operating family-owned company that offers a variety of logistics services. One of the major focuses of these activities is value-added logistics for the automotive industry. In the automotive industry today they are one of the globally leading logistics service providers.


GROUP LEADER

SALARY: $45K - $55K

BASED ON EXPERIENCE


JOB DUTIES:

  • The Group Leader is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining a high quality and efficient organization of team members and work processes within the shift in accordance with the specifications of the senior operation manager in the assigned area(s).
  • Promote, comply and adhere to safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Comply with quality standards.
  • Support and enforce the Schnellecke SPIRIT.
  • Submit and support suggestions / ideas for improvement / Kaizen.
  • Adhere to 5S standards in area of responsibility.
  • Promote the Schnellecke Team Empowerment Program (S.T.E.P.).
  • Comply with the emergency strategies set in place.
  • Execution of tasks and processes according to training manuals and work instructions.
  • On time processing of material flow.
  • Professional leadership of employees in assigned areas during shift.
  • Organize, control and monitor warehouse processes, procedures and workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with process instructions and job descriptions.
  • Workforce and manpower hours and time management in accordance with set specifications from the Senior Operations Manager.
  • Organize and complete document training and work instruction acknowledgments.
  • Ensure timely and economical processing of all orders in client and SPL standard.
  • Workforce and manpower operations management in accordance with the specifications of the Senior Operation Manager.
  • Goal-oriented and focused on meeting KPI standards.
  • Attend and/or lead team meetings.
  • Initiate appropriate action in case of accidents and incidents.
  • Ensure latest version of communications on the information board.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management in accordance with skill level.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years experience in operations/logistics processes
  • 3 years experience in implementation of Leadership and supervisory qualities
  • True and complete application (no omissions or falsifications)
  • Must be able to pass mandatory drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a background check per Schnellecke Standards
  • Frequently able to walk/move around warehouse floor
  • May be required to lift up to 33 pound containers and place them in proper locations on a frequent basis
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Personal Management / Leadership

  • Supply chain of material movement
  • Presentation and training skills
  • Quality and safety rules
