Schnellecke Packing Logistics AL is seeking applicants for a Team Leader at their facility in Woodstock, Alabama. The Schnellecke Group is an internationally operating family-owned company that offers a variety of logistics services. One of the major focuses of these activities is value-added logistics for the automotive industry. In the automotive industry today they are one of the globally leading logistics service providers.


TEAM LEADER

STARTING PAY: $14.50+ PER HOUR

BASED ON EXPERIENCE


JOB DUTIES:

  • The employee is responsible for, but not limited to, the accompaniment and control of work processes in the task area according to the process and job descriptions. They ensure trouble-free and economical processing of orders within one shift at high quality, in compliance with the instructions of the group leader for the assigned area.
  • Promote, comply and adhere to safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Comply with quality standards.
  • Support and enforce the Schnellecke SPIRIT.
  • Submit and support suggestions / ideas for improvement / Kaizen.
  • Adhere to 5S standards in area of responsibility.
  • Promote the Schnellecke Team Empowerment Program (S.T.E.P.).
  • Comply with the emergency strategies set in place.
  • Execution of tasks and processes according to training manuals and work instructions.
  • On time processing of material flow.
  • Leadership of assigned employees during the shift.
  • Assign personnel, equipment and PPE according to the specifications of the shift management and qualification of the personnel.
  • Support in the necessary training and maintain training documentation of employees.
  • Support in the operations, including but not limited to working in the processes.
  • Fill out reports and documentation (e.g. KPIs).
  • Escalate maintenance requests for forklifts, containers, trailers, etc. to appropriate parties.
  • Update information board.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management in accordance with skill level.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Some college education preferred
  • 1 year experience Forklift Operation
  • 3 years experience in operations/logistics processes
  • 1 year experience in leadership or supervisory qualities
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) 
  • Quality and safety rules
  • Supply chain of material movement 
  • Warehouse Management Systems
  • Personal Management / Leadership 
  • Presentation and training skills
