Segers Aero Corp is proud to have served the aviation industry since the 70s. The company is located on the Gulf Coast of the United States in the town of Fairhope, Alabama. Segers Aero Corp is seeking resourceful individuals to work as an NDT Inspector. This position is for Segers Aero Corp located in Fairhope, Al.


PAY: $25 - $35 PER HOUR



  • To complete the required non-destructive inspections using approved NDT methods.
  • Completes magnetic particle and/or fluorescent penetrant non-destructive inspections in support of the production schedule
  • Sets up equipment, conducts tests, and interprets those results 
  • Completes NDT inspection reports and logs as required by quality processes
  • Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds
  • Tests products for structural defects such as leaks and internal cracks
  • Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts or inspection tag
  • Assists in on-the-job training of other NDT inspection personnel in the completion of inspection responsibilities
  • Participates in improvement efforts to improve turn time, reduce errors, or reduce costs using continuous improvement tools
  • Maintains qualifications and certification in accordance with NAS 410.
  • Timely communicates with Chief Inspector concerning any quality processes
  • Utilizes the electronic database to complete transactions
  • Keeps a clean work environment using continuous improvement tools
  • Maintains an understanding of the methodology employed by bureaucratic and government organizations, and skills to deal with the requirements and systems imposed by these organizations.
  • Maintains accurate and timely records of inspections
  • Ability to demonstrate inspection proficiency on equipment, inspection methods & techniques, aids, and tools
  • Travels as needed
  • Confers with manager to recommend changes such as: equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of department and promote improvement
  • Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner
  • Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy
  • Works overtime as needed
  • Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e.g. safety-glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned
  • (Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Noise is generally loud.)


  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • NDT Level 2 ECI Certification required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and DOT drug screen and comply with all FAA regulation.
  • Jaeger and Ishihara eye exam required upon hire.
  • Must be familiar with NDT inspection techniques and tools used to complete the inspection process
  • Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among, co-workers and supervisors
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision and to take initiative
  • Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and the ability to learn other company specific software  
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, rates and interpret graphs 
  • Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE
  • May be required to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively
  • May be required to stand, walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel as needed for 8+ hours per day. 
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. or more repetitively with or without assistance as needed for 8+ hours per day. 
  • Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions
