Revere Control Systems is seeking applicants for a Electrical Technician I located in BIRMINGHAM, AL. For over 40 years, Revere Control Systems industrial automation systems have allowed them to form relationships that help water, energy, and manufacturing customers by safely delivering turnkey or standalone solutions.



PAY: $15 - $20 PER HOUR



  • Read and interpret detailed drawings or schematics to mount and connect electrical panel components including switches, pilot lights, surge suppressors, circuit breakers, relays, VFDs, PLC hardware.
  • Work with engineering to ensure product quality.
  • Work with shipping and receiving to ensure the availability of proper parts; assist in shipping to ensure proper and timely shipping of goods.
  • Install and shape conduit using mechanical or hydraulic conduit benders.
  • Label and terminate wires or cables to electrical components and terminals.
  • Maintain safety practices and procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order.
  • Keep management informed about the reliability of tools and equipment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of drafting, electrical system layout, blueprint reading, and mathematics; working knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in electrical system installation and maintenance work.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles of electrical theory as applied to electrical circuits and wiring systems and ability to apply this knowledge to work situations.
  • Skill in operation of the listed tools and equipment; skill in reading blueprints and specifications.
  • Ability to follow proper methods, procedures, and safety precautions of line work; ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
  • May be required to lift up to 100lbs.
  • May be required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.


  • This is a full-time position, and standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime may be required to keep up with increased customer demands and remain on schedule. All overtime must have prior supervisor approval.
  • Working safely is a condition of employment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Field trips with service personnel may include work environments that vary in different industrial situations.
