GD Copper is seeking eager individuals to join their team as an Employee & Labor Relations Specialist in WILCOX COUNTY, AL. GD Copper, the world’s leading producer of copper tubing, has built one of the most modern copper tubing mills in the world, employing state-of-the-art technology. 


EMPLOYEE & LABOR RELATIONS SPECIALIST

SALARY: $36K

BASED UPON EXPERIENCE


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vacation record keeping and reporting
  • Medical leave record keeping and reporting including but not limited to FFCRA and CARES
  • Disciplinary record keeping and reporting
  • Maintaining leave requests, point system reporting
  • Dispersing and managing benefits information such as vacation
  • Regular communication with employees, including but not limited to regular written communications to be posted in break rooms and/or emails through supervisors, and walking through factory.
  • Report to HR Generalist
  • Assist HR generalist with day to day duties
  • Support overall HR function
  • Help develop and manage employee orientation
  • Schedule orientation and notify participating parties


REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Associate degree in HR or Business Degree Required. 
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience 
  • Training: ISO 9001
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Multi-Tasking
  • Sensitive to diverse environment, and ability to manage and communicate with diverse workforce
  • Understanding of diverse concept
  • Understanding of employee benefits regulations, guidelines and practices
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in HR or related field. Bachelor degree in related field with at least 2 years experience preferred
