is seeking applicants for a Maintenance Technician
at their facility in TUSCALOOSA, Alabama. Martinrea is a diversified
global automotive supplier engaged in the design, development and
manufacturing of metal parts, assemblies and modules, complex fluid
management systems and aluminum products.
MAINTENANCE
TECHNICIAN
PAY:
$24.00 - $29.25 PER HOUR
BASED
ON EXPERIENCE
JOB DUTIES:
- Repair
and troubleshooting (Electrical and Mechanical) of equipment such as:
Robots, Weld, Rivet, Assembly, Press and E-coat equipment, Fixtures,
Gages, Control and Safety systems and Building systems in order to
ensure that production targets are met.
- Respond
to downtime calls on the shop floor.
- Provide
call in response to facility/equipment issues during non scheduled
hours as requested.
- Reprogram/teach
automated equipment such as robots and PLCs as required.
- Perform
required preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
- Fabricate,
weld and machine as required by tasks assigned.
- Perform
facility and grounds maintenance activities as required.
- Perform/assist
with new equipment installations, equipment relocations and equipment
modifications as required.
- Work
with and in some cases lead or train production team members on TPM,
PM, Shutdown and other maintenance related activities as required.
- Work
as part of a team in order to resolve product quality related
concerns.
- Work
as part of a team studying and improving equipment and maintenance
practices in order to improve: Plant availability, cycle times,
product quality, scrap rates, running cost, ergonomics, safety, etc.
- Assist
in maintenance planning activities such as PM schedule setup, PM
standardization, spare parts inventories, etc. as required.
- Perform
other related tasks as needed.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- High
School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Associate
degree in Electrical, Maintenance or Electronic Technology preferred.
- Qualified
to work on light and heavy current electrical circuits and
installations.
- Welding,
Fabrication and Machining skills and experience beneficial.
- 1-3
years Robotic and PLC systems programming and troubleshooting
experience preferred
- 3-5
years experience in the maintenance of an automated manufacturing
operation preferred
- Ability
to read blueprints, pneumatic and electrical schematics, logic
diagrams and maintenance manuals preferred.
