Adventech is seeking applicants for a PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN at their new 55,000 sq ft. facility in Florence, Alabama. Adventech is the exclusive manufacturer of the MaxEff complex motor generators used primarily for industrial and municipal applications.   • Follow written and verbal instruction.
  • Prep copper coils with winding machine.
  • Perform motor winding on various sizes of stators.
  • Properly insulate stator with necessary wedges and phase paper separation, prior to inserting coil winding into insulated equipment. Motor winding can vary in size from 5 hp to 1000 hp and 120 volts to 6600 volts.
  • Perform proper connection sequence necessary for final soldering, brazing or welding of internal coil leads to exterior leads.
  • Operate burn out and bake ovens
  • Cut and remove old winding from stator and clean to prepare for MaxEff motor winding.
  • Operate sand blasters to clean off any excess varnish that may have been left behind after the burn out oven.
  • Dip stators in varnish tank and bake winding. Use our state-of-the art VPI system for insulating stators, if applicable.
  • Full disassembly and re-assembly of remanufactured MaxEff motors with proper labeling for identifying at a later use.
  • Apply the necessary fit, thread and identification coating to allow the correct insulating varnish application.
  • Clean up coated fits, threads and identification plates of dip & baked winding.
  • Perform and document final electrical and mechanical test results of the winding, insulation and connections.
  • Operate forklifts in a safe manner observing all company policies.
  • May be required to lift up to 50lbs


  • High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree in a business or technical field related to manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow delegated instructions; Have a willingness to learn and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
  • Must be able to report out to other technicians, director supervisor and/or the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Directors.
