AIDT is seeking applicants for pre-employment training with Motobilt for various positions. Successful completion of the program may result in employment with Motobilt in OZARK, AL. Motobilt is a manufacturing company dedicated to producing quality American Made aftermarket parts for Jeeps and other offroad vehicles.

 


MULTIPLE POSITIONS

WAGE RANGE: $13.00 - $17.00 PER HOUR

BASED ON EXPERIENCE


WELDER:

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols 
  • Requires the ability to operate manual wire feed welders and automatic welder to produce quality welds utilizing the appropriate welding wire, heat, arc, speed, depth and bead size of weld for the weld requirement 
  • Requires the ability to accurately weld fabricated components of carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel and perform welds in all positions – flat, horizontal, vertical up and down 
  • Must be able to confer with supervisors and production personnel to resolve welding problems 
  • Requires ability to respond quickly to priority changes and work well under pressure due to scheduling constraints and perform quality work in a safe and efficient manner 
  • May be required to safely lift to 70 lbs
  • Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required
  • Perform simple maintenance and repairs as required
  • Must be able to read tape measure, use pry bar, be trained on and operate forklift, use hammer, wrenches, grinders, and all common hand tool.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Other Duties Assigned


GRINDER:

  • Positions and secures workpiece in holding fixture, or directly to machine table
  • Use of angle and disc grinders and DA sander
  • Exams parts for even finishes when complete
  • Selects grinding wheel and speeds, for each operation according to knowledge of metal properties and abrasives, and mounts wheel on spindle 
  • Moves controls and reads dials to set rotation speeds and feed rates
  • Verifies dimensions of ground workpiece for conformance to specifications.
  • May be required to have experience with particular material, product, or precision level, or with grinder of particular size, type, or trade name
  • May be required to safely lift to 70 lbs
  • Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required
  • Perform simple maintenance and repairs as required
  • Must be able to read tape measure, use pry bar, be trained on and operate forklift, use hammer, wrenches, grinder, and all common hand tools
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Other Duties Assigned


SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK:

  • Ability to read and understand packing lists, bill of ladings and shipping and receiving instructions 
  • Familiar with appropriate methods of shipment and proper packaging requirements 
  • Operates the stretch wrap banders 
  • Assist manager in unpacking, examining and routing incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items
  • Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit 
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping material on hand at all times. 
  • Verifies information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, etc. 
  • Reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor 
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment 
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment and follows all safely regulations as required 
  • Ability to safely lift to 70 lbs

PPE & WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Employees are required to wear steel toed footwear when job is performed in plant / shop area, and welding mask when appropriate (at their own expense).  The Company will provide the following:  Safety glasses, face shields and earplugs per Employee Handbook.
  • These positions primarily work in a non-climate controlled cold/hot and humid manufacturing environment.  There is loud operating equipment, high voltage laser cutting equipment, moving press brakes, moving forklifts, vehicle lifting devices, heavy pallets of materials and welding processes happening concurrently in our manufacturing facility.
  • Must understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • May be required to bend, lift, push, sit, stand, walk for 1-10 hours per day.
