Boy Foods is seeking applicants for a Case Packer Operator
in Troy, Alabama. Golden Boy Foods is a leading manufacturer of
private brand and branded food products. We supply organic and
conventional peanut butter, tree nut butter, other nut butters,
snack nuts, trail mix, baking nuts, and dried fruit to leading
grocery retailers, top food service distributors and industrial
bakeries across North America.

POSITION
DESCRIPTION:
Case
packer operator maintains and operates an automatic case packing machine
which forms, loads and packs cases of product. Operator also maintains
and operates an automatic De-Stacking Pallet machine that places empty
plastic bottles onto the production line.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Before
start up checks all equipment and work areas to insure safety and
sanitation conditions are correct and ready for use. Assembles and
disassembles equipment for sanitation purposes.
- Inspect
and document forklift for proper safety condition before starting
daily tasks
- Read
specification to ensure proper materials are being used
- Verify
correct case coding is being applied to the product case
- Maintain/Operate
automatic case packing machine
- Ensure
sufficient tray and glue supply is provided to case packing machine
- Maintain/Operate
automatic De-Stacking pallet machine
- Ensure
sufficient plastic jar pallets are loaded onto the conveyer of
automatic jar De-Stacking machine
- Perform
and document quality checks of the product
- Change
over machines as necessary
- Work
with other roles to ensure sufficient packaging material is available
to the packaging line
- Perform
sanitation to equipment on sanitation day, use LOTO
- Other
duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must
be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- High
school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Previous
manufacturing experience
- Forklift
experience
- Previous
machine operation experience
- May
be required to balance, bend, crouch, kneel, and stoop for 4+ hours
per shift
- May
be required to walk or stand for up to 12 hours per shift
- May
be required to reach above shoulders and climb/work off ladder for 4+
hours per shift
- May
be required to work in a dusty environment, high heat, or humidity for
4+ hours per shift
- May
be required to perform simple grasping, push, pull, and feel for 4+
hours per shift
- May
be required to lift up-to 50 pounds for 4+ hours per shift
- May
be required to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written
word
- May
be required to make fine distinctions by sound
- May
be required to distinguish object or equipment visually
