PAY $15 - $17 PER HOUR



The Scale House Clerk, is the friendly face representing Pinnacle to all visitors signing into the plant, all suppliers who deliver material and to our internal Pinnacle family.  Key responsibilities include safely monitoring and maintaining accurate records of biomass inflow tickets, accurate truck weights, manifests and supplies and monitor the inflow of raw materials and inbound/outbound freight.  Will collect and organize biomass samples from truck drivers and communicate courteously with truck drivers, visitors and various internal and external departments.  Maintains accurate records through in our automated scale system and provides other, general, administrative support for the Plant Team.  To be successful in this role you have a positive vibe, care about helping others and will naturally pull up your sleeves and dig in to support the team. You have administrative skills; Outlook and MS Office including Excel, keying, data entry, excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. 


Utility team members safely perform and coordinate a variety of non-technical manual tasks, including clean-up and housekeeping to support the safe production process to make wood pellets. Utility employees may also safely provide assistance and support to other positions onsite, when cross-trained.  Key skills include having an Owning Safety Mindset, being a team player, good attitude, punctuality and time management, experience in heavy industry operations and excellent communication skills.


The ACRO is responsible to support the Control Room Operator with safe Operation of the pellet mill through the Control Room, with the use of HMI tools and monitoring the full production process. This role requires a leadership mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to provide technical expertise to all plant employees through in person and radio communication.  The operator must monitor and communicate any safety related concerns either directly to plant employees or to the Plant Leadership team. Key skills include computer applications, effective communication skills, and problem solving skills.


Barge Loaders are responsible for safely loading quality finished goods in the form of Wood Pellets, onto the barging system, which then flows to the Port of Mobile and ships overseas to  customers.  Barge Loaders understand Pinnacle’s quality standards and confidently ensure finished goods are loaded and stored within quality specifications and report back any irregular conditions that develop to the Plant Management team. Barge Loaders champion housekeeping and cleanliness in the barge loading facility. Key skills include the ability to swim, ability to work independently as well as in a team setting, effective communication and problem solving skills.


The Material Handler is responsible for the safe movement and flow of material (residual wood fibre) from the Truck Dump Storage Area and the Shavings Storage Building into the production process.  The Material Handlers will manage the safe, consistent and steady flow of material to feed the process and maintain necessary production levels, through the operation of  industrial mobile equipment, specifically the 950 Payloader.  Key skills and abilities include safely operating large, industrial mobile equipment, following detailed and specific instructions,  working both independently and within a team and the ability to clearly communicate both in person and through a radio.
