AIDT is seeking applicants for Welding/Rigging pre-employment training at Valley Joist, Inc. located in Fort Payne, Alabama. WELDER/RIGGER
PAY: $11.00 PER HOUR
+
PRODUCTION BONUS $3 - $8+ PER HOUR
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weld assembled joist together.
- Occasionally operate crane controls to flip large joists
- Receive/discharge joists - may be performed by power rollers
- Continuous handling required while welding joist, welding lead, receiving and discharging joist, during laydown and flipover, etc.
- May be required to lift 1 welding wire per shift. (individually and/or with group)
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May be required to bend/stoop
- Capable of performing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Previous welding experience preferred
- Able to communicate effectively with other team members
- Ability to add and subtract/ complete basic math functions
- Ability to effectively work in a loud environment
- AWS certification is a preferred
