MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN MACHINIST

STARTING PAY: $20.80 PER HOUR
BASED ON EXPERIENCE


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows and complies with all safety, work rules, and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
  • Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
  • Maintains inventory of completed parts.
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Technical School Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years of process improvement and problem-solving techniques
  • 5+ years of PLC troubleshooting and repair, mechanical, maintenance, industrial operations, and electrical experience. 
  • Ability to multitask and strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organization, quantitative, statistical, and research skills
  • Ability to resolve conflict and work well within a team environment
  • Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/materials.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Products
