AIDT is seeking applicants for a pre-employment training opportunity with REN Seafoods for Multiple Positions in Mobile, AL. REN Seafoods is Mobile’s new home for seafood processing.  We are hiring driven, quality-focused team members across the business to service the nation’s top retail and food service companies.


WAREHOUSE UTILITY WORKER | $12 - $20 PER HOUR (BASED UPON EXPERIENCE):

DUTIES:

  • Perform tasks as directed based on daily receiving, shipping, and production schedules. 
  • Consistently maintain a clean and sanitary work area. 
  • Adheres to and processing, sanitation, and food safety protocols. 
  • Demonstrates quality and safety awareness at all times.
  • Follow GMP standards as directed. 
  • Follow Food Safety System requirements at the direction of the QA tech in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills

SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK  | $12 - $18 PER HOUR (BASED UPON EXPERIENCE):

DUTIES:

  • Organize and prioritize orders to ship by carrier at pick up time. 
  • Select and validate orders for accuracy and bring any discrepancies to Warehouse Manger’s attention. 
  • Records the temperate of inbound and outbound trucks 
  • Verify count of outbound freight with 3PL to ensure accurate shipment of product. 
  • Inspects the inbound and outbound product to ensure all boxes are intact and not damaged.
  • Obtain signature on shipping documents. 
  • Obtain copy of purchase order from receiving rack and validate accuracy. 
  • Unload truck and sort by product code, size and quantity.
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Complies with all Food Safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and adhere to OSHA and Ren Seafoods Polices.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and drivers while representing Ren Seafoods Inc, in a professional manner at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma
  • 2-3 years of general warehouse experience
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience working with teams (internal/external collaboration)
  • Valid US Drivers License



PRODUCTION WORKER | $15 - $17 PER HOUR (BASED UPON EXPERIENCE):

DUTIES:

  • Perform tasks as directed based on daily production schedule. 
  • Consistently maintains a clean and sanitary work area. 
  • Adheres to and processing, sanitation, and food safety protocols. 
  • Demonstrate quality and safety awareness at all times.
  • Process orders to customer specifications. 
  • Provide cutting, assembling, weighing, packing, labeling, palletizing, and other duties as required to complete production requirements. 
  • Follow GMP standards as directed. 
  • Follow Food safety System requirements at the direction of the QA tech in the area. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma
  • Basic math skills


MHE FORKLIFT OPERATOR | $14 - $18 PER HOUR (BASED UPON EXPERIENCE):

DUTIES:

  • Perform material handling activity as directed based on daily receiving, shipping, and production schedules. 
  • Follow and support a culture of Safety at all times.
  • Consistently maintain a clean and sanitary work area. 
  • Adheres to and processing, sanitation, and food safety protocols. 
  • Follow GMP standards as directed. 
  • Follow Food Safety System requirements at the direction of the QA tech in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse and material handling (preferably in food service environment)
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills


MACHINE OPERATOR | $16 - $20 PER HOUR (BASED UPON EXPERIENCE):

DUTIES:

  • Perform tasks as directed based on daily production schedule. 
  • Consistently maintain a clean and sanitary work area. 
  • Adheres to and processing, sanitation, and food safety protocols. 
  • Demonstrates quality and safety awareness at all times.
  • Process orders to customer specifications. 
  • Follow standard process to operate automated equipment including vacuum packaging, portioning, weighing, labeling, cutting, metal detection, strapping, and others.
  • Provide cutting, assembling, weighing, packing, labeling, palletizing, and other duties as required to complete production requirements. 
  • Follow GMP standards as directed. 
  • Follow Food Safety System requirements at the direction of the QA tech in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills


PRODUCTION LEAD | $18 - $25 PER HOUR (BASED UPON EXPERIENCE):

DUTIES:

  • Directs the line workers to perform tasks as directed based on daily production schedule. 
  • Consistently maintains a clean and sanitary work area. 
  • Adheres to and directs team to follow processing, sanitation, and food safety protocols. 
  • Oversees pre-operation set up, to include all raw materials, packaging and utensils are placed properly by workstation 
  • Directs the workflow for the processing of orders to customer specifications to include value added seafood products. 
  • Oversees the cutting, assembling, weighing, and packing, labeling, and palletizing finished goods operations. 
  • Responsible for the execution of sanitation SSOPs at point of product change over and end of shift. 
  • Completes production paperwork and data entry of items used in shifts processing. 
  • Responsible for documenting the lot/batch numbers used in the production orders scheduled for the day. 
  • Responsible for labeling the entire product in process and in the workstation to properly identify the ingredient or product produced. 
  • Responsible for understanding and enforcement of GMPs. 
  • Oversees the employees are following Food safety System requirements in coordination with the QA tech in the area. 
  • Works with QA to verify the CCP’s and CQP’s are meet in all production orders completed for the day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in processing / production environment (preferably with fresh and/or frozen food)
  • Be able to drive a fork truck
  • Basic math skills
  • Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices and safety programs 
  • General understanding of Quality Assurance and HACCP




HOURS/WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 2 shifts: morning - afternoon; afternoon - late night
  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
  • Work in a cold and wet food processing and manufacturing environment
  • Stand for extended periods of time
