& SAFETY SYSTEMS OPERATOR
$19.57 - $23.09 PER HOUR
the facility wastewater treatment plant in a manner which supports
facility operations in accordance with all applicable Federal,
State, and Local compliance standards.
as a member of the safety team and support safety programs as
defined in the safety manual.
able to perform various chemical and equipment tests and make
necessary manual adjustments to wastewater treatment plant system in
order to maintain Federal, State, and local compliance standards.
for handling, storage, documentation, and shipping of facility
hazardous waste is accordance with applicable Federal, State, and
local compliance standards.
for the handling and storage facility hazardous materials and
petroleum products, spill prevention control and countermeasure
practices, and Best Management Practices as defined by Federal,
State, and local compliance regulations.
for taking routine readings from various locations and/or collect
samples. The position will be required to ensure system meters,
pumps, controls, etc. are maintained in good working order, make
minor repair or maintenance as required including O-ring
replacement, pump component replacement, disassembly and reassembly
of system components.
for data entry, maintenance of daily logs, sample collection,
equipment calibration and operation, and completing environmental
and safety reports.
be able to interact with outside vendors, observe departmental
safety requirements, work from written and verbal instruction, and
maintain quality standards according to specifications.
duties as assigned.
School Diploma/GED is required.
school or advanced education will be considered a plus.
be able to successfully complete OSHA Hazardous Waste Worker training,
obtain a Wastewater Plant Operator license, and possess a powered
industrial truck license.
in wastewater treatment plant operation, maintenance, hazardous
material management, safety and environmental program management or
engineering technician work is preferred.
skills and mobile equipment operation is desirable.
ability to work independently and in a team environment is also
position(s) will include training and public speaking demands.
be exposed to high temperatures & noise levels, plant & office
setting as well as outdoor environment.
3:00pm - 11:30pm.
