Schnellecke Logistics Alabama is seeking applicants for pre-employment training for Multiple Positions in Vance, Alabama. MULTIPLE POSITIONS


FORKLIFT OPERATOR | $17/HR:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Forklift Operators operate industrial trucks to transport materials from the loading dock to designated warehouse locations
  • Adherence to safety principles at all times
  • Know and follow standard work procedures and safety rules for all tasks assigned
  • Daily inspection and documentation of Forklift Material Handling Equipment
  • Inspect product for damage and property scan by machine or manual entry to ensure safe transport and proper placement
  • Move controls to drive propane or electric-powered trucks and transport materials between loading
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas
  • Retrieve materials from overflow inventory, scan, and follow scanner instructions on screen to place material in correct location on outbound dock or Automated Tugger
  • Mechanically load or unload from pallets, platforms, or other transport vehicles

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Complete training and company certification requirements for Forklift Material Handling Equipment Operations
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis for general purpose of re-stack to product
  • Must be able to identify labels on upper rack levels and overhead signs


CLEARING KEY USER | $16.50/HR:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clearing Key Users assist with operation support in all areas
  • Support of Engineering clerical function
  • Database review and report out of all missed vehicles and downtime
  • Review of unresolved issues within database
  • Support all areas in SAP problems

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Skill Matrix (Internal Candidates Only)

TEAM LEADER | $17.50/HR:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leaders are responsible for the assessment and coordination of personnel, equipment, and inventory to meet daily productivity goals and timelines, and to ensure that all standard operating procedures for the assigned area(s) are followed
  • Adherence to safety principles at all times
  • Know and follow standard work procedures and safety rules for all tasks assigned
  • Implement and enforce the organizational values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, and organizational standards over all areas of their responsibility to achieve the vision of the company
  • Apply the procedures in the areas of responsibility to ensure compliance with them
  • Improve business process to make it more robust and efficient
  • Confer with management, production, or other departments to discuss shift notes, process specifications, or procedures
  • Support the development and implementation of standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department focused on Continuous Improvement Techniques
  • Update and share weekly Manpower documents in the organization
  • Participate in meetings to make detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of Lean Management
  • 5S work area

HOURS & WORK CONDITIONS:

  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm; and overtime as required
  • This job operates in a warehouse environment
  • Noise level may be high
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time; bending and/or reaching may be required
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times while on shop floor to prevent injury to self or others
  • COVID Policy = masks required
