
Agcor Steel is seeking applicants for a Loader II in Cullman, AL. Agcor Steel is a manufacturer and distributor of metal roofing components, wood trusses, steel trusses, pole barns, and post frame buildings.

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Operations Foreman, loading personnel are responsible for execution of daily production plan, overseeing the packing and shipping of finished products in a safe and efficient manner to meet internal and external customer needs.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and drive safety-first culture, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors
- Know and follow safety and emergency procedures as needed
- Working in coordination with the Operations Manager as well as other team members, support objectives in obtaining daily operational excellence goals
- As needed, program and operate roll former and/or supply department production line in a safe and responsible manner to produce panels as per customer orders, while adhering to quality specifications
- Supporting Panel Department personnel, routinely perform quality checks and make machinery adjustments as needed to provide customer with complete and damage-free product
- Complete all daily orders
- Maintain clean work area and workstation prep throughout shift
- Complete housekeeping and workstation prep tasks prior to end of shift
- Routinely perform preventative maintenance on machinery as per training
- Troubleshoot and/or notify immediate supervisor of machine breakdowns or issues
- Maintain and/or update department visual tracking metrics boards (feet per hour, scrap weights/footage, etc.)
- Pull all cpu and delivery accessories at the beginning of shift and stage in loading area for loading preparation
- Provide support in meeting and/or exceeding department and plant goals such as safety, quality, scrap prevention and operational excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- High school
diploma or GED (preferred)
- Previous
field-related, forklift and/or manufacturing experience
(preferred) - Properly utilize and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Effectively communicate with others
- Interact professionally with all employees, at all levels within the organization (including management, supervision, etc.)
- Communicate with customers, employees, contractors and/or visitors effectively and professionally
- Read a tape measure, perform basic mathematical calculations as well as use a calculator
- Maintain a dependable attendance record
- Receive instruction and follow direction, including technical and multi-step instructions
- Work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions
- Work independently as well as in a team
- Work safely, remain calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

SCHEDULE HOURS:
- M - F, 6:30am - 3:10pm
